Spring has sprung and it is time for the 35th Annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival! 🌷 ⠀
If you are familiar with the Skagit Valley, April is for all things Tulips! Over the years, the Festival has grown from a 3-day event to 30 fun-filled days. While the star of the show will always be the gorgeous blooms, there are many other activities for all to enjoy.⠀
Since Mother Nature works on her own schedule, I highly recommend checking the RoozenGaarde Bloom Map prior to your visit to ensure that the flowers are blooming (they are not blooming yet as of today!). My tulip farmer friend speculates that peak blooms will begin around mid-April.
A variety of events are held each week, including art shows, salmon bbq’s, bike tours, petting farms, wine tasting, and more! Want a helicopter tour? You can do that too! Check out this link for a calendar of events.⠀
A secret tip from a local … if you can visit during the week you’ll be less likely to get stuck in what we affectionately call “tulip traffic”.
Enjoy your visit to the lovely Skagit Valley. If you can, take the time to experience all that our area has to offer! We have amazing hiking trails, beaches, local shops, restaurants , and wineries/breweries/distilleries.
